Mana is a concept found in many Polynesian and Pacific Island cultures + traditions. It refers to a spiritual force or energy that flows through all things: people, nature, objects, and actions. This energy is rooted in living with integrity and maintaining a respectful connection with our world.

More broadly, Mana reflects the effect of one’s presence and intention. It’s not just about power in a traditional sense but about the energy you bring to something, the respect you show, and the depth of your presence in all you do.

We focus on becoming grounded in values and purpose. It’s our commitment to community, connection and the continued efforts in doing things with intention.

OUR TEAM

Owners Danessa & Natalie started Mana in 2022 with an expansive idea.

From the beginning, our focus was on developing classic family recipes to showcase the classic flavors that are popular locally. Things kicked off with annual sales like Cookie Kits, Valentine Cakes, and our Spring Pop-Up. Balancing a growing business & full time positions, we’ve built a consistent audience with online sales and local delivery. With this strong foundation in place, we have started to grow our menu in service of our mixed heritages and implement these special interests in culture available to us through an ever expanding community.

Energy is cultivated anywhere.

We’ve been fortunate to expand our team with individuals varying in cultural background— each bringing unique perspectives and experience. The combination of these many influences allow us to explore a global menu while continuing to localize our ingredients. As we all learn from one another, we create a richer experience and find intention and spirit in each process. Recognizing that a shop can play a larger part in community; we endeavor to keep building.

We call our cafe "Mana" because we intend to invite people into an environment where energy is not only being acquired, but cultivated and shared.
